Prevention-orientation programs, stressing collaboration with other educational professionals and seen as integral parts of the educational process, are necessary elements of the guidance and counseling students receive so they may achieve their greatest potential with respect to academic, personal/social, and career development. Prevention assumes a place of central importance in the contemporary school counseling program at the Saginaw Career Complex.
