WHO is the instructor?

Mrs. Toni Hock brings an abundance of energy, talent, education, and practical experience to her classroom on a daily basis. Mrs. Hock holds degrees from Delta College and from the University of Michigan's School of Art. In addition, Mrs. Hock also has several years experience as a Graphic Artist, some of which has been spent in her own business called Brylliant Designs. She continues to utilize her talents as a freelance designer. In addition to her activities in the classroom, Mrs. Hock demonstrates her expertise in the fine arts with displays of her work at art galleries and art fairs. This dynamic instructor brings a wealth of knowledge and ability to the students in the Graphic Arts/Visual Imaging Technology program.

WHAT special clubs or student organizations is the program involved with?

Skills USA/VICA- This organization is an international organization that allows students to compete in their skilled areas at the local, state, and national levels. The Saginaw Career Complex students may compete in the following areas:

• Advertising Design
• Graphic Communication
• Commercial Photography

WHAT certifications can I achieve or work toward in the Graphic Arts/Visual Imaging Technology program?            

Marketable Skills Certificate--Students may earn a Marketable Skills Certificate.  This certification process provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate, document, and defend their achievement of employer validated standards and competencies. Achievement of the marketable skills certification should improve the likelihood of success in future employment and/or a continuing educational program.
