and manicuring professions, and to qualify
and equip a student to pass the State of Michigan
Board of Cosmetology licensing examination.

should I take Cosmetology?
Classes
at the Saginaw Career Complex are different
than those offered at your home high school.
You learn by doing - not just reading, listening,
and memorizing. And you learn out in the
real world, on-the-job, with real people.
You
will also earn a competency certificate
in Cosmetology from the Saginaw Career Complex,
which says you've learned actual job skills
at high standards set by business and industry.
Your parents will love it. So will colleges
and employers.

today have the potential for enormous growth
and success as they take on expanded roles,
which have been brought about by the new
skills, tools, and products used in today's

licensed cosmetologist will have the skills
to be a talented hairstylist, nail technician,
personal service expert, businessperson,
a self-promoter, as well as a poised and
well-groomed salesperson. The opportunity
for success continues to grow daily.
WHERE
can I go after completing the program?

training in the Cosmetology program gives
you several exciting options:
Entry-level employment - After
passing the State of Michigan Board of
Cosmetology licensing examination, you
will be able to work in a salon performing
many different aspects of cosmetology.
Continued Education - As
an up-to-date licensed cosmetologist,
you will want to attend various seminars
to stay ahead of new techniques, equipment,
products, and business and communication
skills. Someday you may even have your
own salon or become an instructor. The
doors are wide open for you to become
a successful cosmetologist.
