WHO is the instructor?
Ms.
Ileana Rivera brings an enormous amount of experience
and education to the classroom in order to teach
students, and to share with them the skills and
knowledge necessary to be successful in a medical
environment. As a registered nurse for over thirty
years, Ms. Rivera has had nursing experiences
in several different areas of medicine including
obstetrics, office nursing, school nursing, intensive
care unit, orthopedic surgery, and geriatrics.
Ms. Rivera actively uses the teaching certification
she received at Trenton State College, in New
Jersey, on a daily basis
at the Saginaw Career Complex.
Mrs.
Karen Stack makes science come alive with her
dynamic style of teaching and her exuberance,
unbounded energy, and terrific sense of humor.
She brings all of these attributes into the classroom/lab
as she teaches the articulated BIO 130 class within
the Advanced Medical Careers/Nursing curriculum.
Mrs. Stack is a highly qualified science instructor
in her 19th year of teaching--her previous teaching
experiences include positions at Arthur Hill High
School, Handley Elementary/Middle School, Webber
Middle School, and Nouvel Catholic Central High
School. Her previous teaching experiences, along
with her formal education (B.S. degree in Biology/Chemistry
and Teaching Certification from Michigan State
University, Master's of Arts in Teaching with
an emphasis on biology from SVSU), provide just
a part of the knowledge, talent, and expertise
that Mrs. Stack shares with her students. She
